Hey there! My name is Ashley Louks, and I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Minnesota. Back in 2016, I had the choice of moving to either Seattle or Austin, and after much consideration, I chose this great city that I love to call home. I had never been to Austin before I moved here, so it was definitely a leap, but once I got here, I knew it was the place for me. I graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Science and an emphasis in Child Development, but shortly after graduation, I moved down to Mississippi for a couple years before I moved to the great state of Texas.
Before I began my career in real estate, I was a Preschool and Kindergarten teacher for 7 years. I also did my part in the hospitality industry for a few years as well before COVID hit, where I landed a career opportunity with a notable real estate website. While I was with that company, it sparked a fire within me and I realized that real estate was what I was meant to do. Being able to be a part of one of the biggest decisions in someone’s life is such a huge honor, and I’m so thankful that I have been able to assist so many families in finding their dream homes.
Joining the Gene Arant Team has opened up so many opportunities for me to help people right here in our community, and I am so grateful to be part of a team that challenges you to step outside of the box to build yourself up personally and professionally.
In my free time, I love spending time playing soccer with my son at Zilker, out with friends, or binging Grey’s Anatomy for the millionth time. No shame. In the summer, you can always find us at Typhoon Texas or Lake Pflugerville. We’re a little obsessed, but we definitely can’t turn down the opportunity to take advantage of the amazing weather we’re so lucky to have!
